About this tool
Counting days between dates is subtraction on a calendar: the number of midnights you cross. From 1 January to 31 December 2024 is 365 days, because 2024 is a leap year with 366 days, and the gap is one less than the length of the year. Some uses, such as counting nights or inclusive deadlines, ask you to count the end date too, which adds one day.
Adding months works differently from adding days. Months have different lengths, so adding one month to 31 January gives the last day of February, 28 or 29, not a date in March. In add mode the calculator applies years and months first and then the days, so the order is always the same.
The days-from-today mode starts from your device's date, so the answer is for the day you open the page. Business days, holidays and time of day are not included.
How it is calculated
Days between = the difference of the two dates counted in whole days. Add one to include the end date.
Adding months moves the calendar month and keeps the day of the month where it exists. If it does not exist, the last day of that month is used.

- One month after 31 January 2024 is 2024-02-29, a Thursday, because February 2024 has 29 days.
- 60 days after 1 March 2024 is 2024-04-30, a Tuesday.
