How to use the Resize Image to 6cm x 2cm
- Choose a photo, or drag it onto the drop area. It stays on your device.
- The size is already set to 6 × 2 cm (709 × 236 pixels). You can switch to a custom pixel size if your form asks for something else.
- Drag the crop box over the part of the picture you want to keep. It stays locked to the right shape, so nothing is stretched.
- If the form has a file-size limit, type the maximum in KB. The tool lowers JPG quality until the file fits and shows the real size.
- Press Create, check the preview and the pixel size, then download the file.
About this tool
6 × 2 cm is a wide strip with a 3:1 shape, a size often used for signatures and name strips on forms. At 300 DPI it is 709 × 236 pixels. The same size is 354 × 118 px at 150 DPI; 709 × 236 px at 300 DPI; 1417 × 472 px at 600 DPI.
A signature scan is usually a different shape from the box it has to fit. Cropping to 3:1 first, with a little blank space around the writing, gives a cleaner result than squeezing the whole page into the box, which flattens the letters.
Signature uploads often come with a file-size limit as well. Enter it as the maximum KB, choose JPG, and the tool shows the real size after saving.
Practical uses
- Making a 6 × 2 cm signature or name strip for a form.
- Cropping a scanned signature into a wide, clean rectangle.
- Producing a 709 × 236 px banner-shaped image.
Tips for better results
- Sign in dark ink on plain white paper and photograph it in even light.
- Keep a small margin around the signature when you place the crop box.
- Resizing produces the size you choose. It cannot make an organisation accept the file, because forms and offices also set rules for background, head position, file type and file size.
