About this tool
The price of jewellery is the value of the gold plus the making charge. The gold value is the weight in grams times the price per gram. One vori is 11.664 grams, one ana is 0.729 grams and one roti is about 0.1215 grams.

How it is calculated
Weight (g) = (vori + ana ÷ 16 + roti ÷ 96) × 11.664.
Gold value = weight in grams × price per gram.
Total = gold value + making charge (a percentage of the gold value, plus any fixed charge).
Worked examples
- 2 vori 8 ana at 150,000 per vori with 6% making: weight 29.160 g, gold value 375,000, total 397,500.
