About this tool
To convert degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit, use the formula °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. For example, 25 °C is 77 °F.
Unlike most units, temperature scales start at different zero points, so a simple multiplication is not enough. Water freezes at 0°C (32°F) and boils at 100°C (212°F) at sea level, and the two scales meet at −40.
Formula
- °F = °C × 9/5 + 32
- °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
- K = °C + 273.15
